The first time you yelled I'm hit I was too young Too young to face you Around that time I got expelled and Fabian died so much noise so much confusion so much crackle so little reason The child back then wasn't able to understand or relate but the grown man can and with time as our canvas now we speak speak the same language and we walk walk the same trenches Chorus: I watched you drown in the rain cause I thought you were with them I mistook you for the man caught up in rave traffic never to be seen again I just want my brother back

Goodbye 04:38
Heard you laughing at local wildlife beards have feelings too and that's the only thing you need to survive and when the last idea has been cynicised and you finally killed off your inner child you're really gonna be above it all Pre Chorus how could you treat yourself so? if your drugs that good why carry on? no one hugs like they should if life without it is that good Chorus: Why is there never just enough fear to survive enough bravery to make it just enough beer to apologise or to compose the note to explain it all why I still feel lonely even with you by my side etched out the corners of my heart where it said live ten years behind bars and in cafes I watched other people live tired of waiting for the day to pass standing still running without moving forward like on a treadmill easy bait labourer I'm a roadkill not the only one getting wet in the rain Pre Chorus how could you treat yourself so? if you're that good with drugs why you on the floor? do you need a hug they coma and go Chorus: But there is never just enough fear to survive enough bravery to make it just enough beer to apologise or to compose the note to explain it all why I still feel lonely even with you by my side etched out the corners of my heart where it said live

Verse 1 Guaranteed to leave you speechless when I drop the mic difficult to from a sentence like a pensioner without his dentures a deafening silence (beautiful) can you hear it rising it's the sound of your career dying playing superbly at it's own funeral Chorus Catch me moonwalk all over this chord progression stepping and leaping at the same time shoot straight for the ribs with the top line effortless on the pitch like Zidane Verse 2 Swerve past you with that triple a pass while you wait outside adept agile adroit I skip the queue fast sorry man, not tonight and I mean I really am sorry maybe all this was a bit over the top but my message is simple this music thing is just not for you man stop and so the story goes trying to have me for lunch turned into your own roast now you're trying to stay afloat in a Chicago overcoat cause I done left you exposed Chorus Catch me moonwalk all over this chord progression stepping and leaping at the same time shoot straight for the ribs with the top line effortless on the pitch like Zidane

about

The Path Least Travelled press release
DrawnSword makes a triumphant return with his 3rd EP, entitled “The Path Least Travelled”
On the surface DrawnSword's latest offering displays an artist that has a lot of fun in the studio, who isn't afraid to make bold choices and follows his instincts.
The opener, experimental pop smasher“Son are you drugs” now available via Bandcamp, with its playful and tongue in cheek lyrics, he takes the role of a singing MC. There is a new found element of joy in his music, comedic references, old school Bongo breaks and even Mac De Marco is in it!
All jokes aside, if you dig deeper you will discover DrawnSword's songwriting has matured.
“I self studied, worked on technique and stepped away from programming too much. My process has changed, I work way more song oriented these days, as opposed to digging for grooves and loops.
This development is a reaction to what's happening in music at present.
“I feel like most of the stuff out there at the moment is very one dimensional and relies on one idea that's being repeated relentless, cause we live in such a snap your finger and demand demand time.”
I wanted to create something that offers lots of little nuances and layers to discover at 5th, 6th and later listens while still being poppy and accessible cause lets face it, this is hardly jazz.
“The Path Least Travelled” displays a lot more intimacy, “I used to shy away from being too personal. This time I addressed my personal struggles quite explicit. “
On “Sebastian” a song for his brother, calling out to him to repair their relationship.
He laughs, “Not sure how he feels about me doing it in a song though.”
“This collection of songs conveys the clearest, what my musical vision was when I started this.”
Musical influences
John Lennon's honesty and sometimes bluntness. MF Doom's multilayered rhymes. The playfulness of Beck
